For the newest ep of my podcast The Corner Radio, I'm chopping it up with JR & JP about the way music is released and how it's changed over the years. How 25 years ago we'd get one single & one video before before the album dropped vs. now when we hear damn near half the album before it drops. Artists dropping their albums outta nowhere vs. the anticipation of knowing the release date is coming. How the spectrum of the music industry has changed from being all about making quality albums to being single driven and is itunes to blame for that? We also chop it up about how we each prefer to listen to music, either as an entire body of work or hearing songs that leak one by one before the album drops, how streaming affects independent artists and JP asks the question, has Rihanna surpassed Janet's dopeness yet? ANOTHER dope ep ya'll!
