Once word got to ear about this entire South Carolina massacre, the first song that popped in my head was Public Enemy's "Brother's Gonna Work It Out." Why? Cause I've literally been begging and pleading for anybody to speak up and say something about all of this death and violence that's been happening to black folk across this country. But guess what? Nobody's saying anything. And I define "saying something" as writing a song that reflects what's been going down. And since nobody's accepting the call, I'm forced to play songs from 25+ years ago to be my theme music through these CRAZY times. But to be honest, I don't even mind having to dig in the crates for these gems cause I don't think there's a MC walking the planet earth right now who would be able to put it down better then Chuck and PE did. So, since that's the case, let my "PE A Group, A Crew" mixtape be your theme music. And trust me, even though these songs are 25+ years old they fit the times we're living in PERFECTLY! Cause there's absolutely no better way to explain how I feel right now then, "I've got so much trouble on my mind, refuse to lose!"
